STERILE mixed cellulose esters (MCE) membranes offer the same quality and reliability as individually wrapped membranes, says Cole-Parmer, with the added benefits of hands-free convenience and reduced risk of membrane contamination from handling.
The company has introduced a range of pleated MCE filters for dispensers from Japanese manufacturer Advantec.
Used for the microbiological examination of water, wastewater, pharmaceuticals, food, and beverages, the membrane not only has high recovery rates, but claims superior flow rates due to its high porosity.
These MCE filters are available in 0.45 and 0.80um pore sizes with a choice of gridded surface – white for examination of water and wastewater, or black for the examination of bottled water and beverages. 100 individually sealed pre-sterilised filters are supplied in a continuous pleated band, compatible with dispensers from Microsart, E motion, EZ-Pak, Membrane-Butler, etc.
Advantec membranes comply with the ASTM and the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, says Cole-Parmer.
