Mononuclear cells are suitable for biomarker research

HIGH survival and recovery rates are said to be assured with Amsbio’s new ImmunoPure range of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), which are supplied in proprietary reagents.

ImmunoPure peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) are collected at IRB-approved blood banks

The range includes seven types of immune cells derived, from the peripheral blood of normal healthy adults, making them suitable for a range of cell-based experiments.

All cells are collected at IRB-approved blood banks (in the USA, an Institutional Review Board (IRB) must approve proposed scientific research before the involvement of human subjects, other than for some exempt work).

Lymphocytes and monocytes are isolated from whole blood using apheresis, in which the remainder of the blood extracted is returned to the donor’s circulation after the removal of the fractions.

The lymphocyte and monocyte fractions are depleted of granulocytes and red blood cells, and the  PBMCs are cryopreserved immediately in order to ensure high cell viability.

Amsbio says that all ImmunoPure batches are rigorously tested to be free from infectious agents, and are analysed for cell viability, purity, count, and CD markers.
