A NEW four-part online training course to help scientists acquire a basic understanding of freeze drying – a prerequisite for those working on lyophilisation processes – has been announced by SP Scientific.
The training course is presented by industry expert Dr Jeff Schwegman, and runs every Wednesday from 11 July to 1 August 2012.
Subjects covered in the four parts of the course are:
- Introduction to freeze drying;
- Physical properties of materials and thermal characterisation techniques;
- Freezing, annealing, primary and secondary drying;
- Scale-up, cycle transfer, and maximising throughput capability.
