Eikonix, a Cambridge, UK-based imaging and life science company, has been appointed exclusive distributor for the Stemmera range of stem cell research products.
Stemmera’s stem cell products now available in Europe, via Eikonix
Stemmera is based in California, USA, with products including kits, culture medium, reagents, antibodies, buffers, solutions, and cell lines for use in stem cell research.
The key products are serum-free and Xeno-free media, the latter of which the company says has been shown to compare favourably with other mediums but remain more affordable than most.
The Stemmera Human ESCs/iPSCs Xeno-Free Medium (hStemXFM) is ready-to-use and is a fully defined animal-free culture medium, it says.
It is formulated for the expansion and maintenance of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) and human embryonic stem cells (hESC) which are used in clinical based research and drug screening.
This medium is ready to use, animal pathogen free, optimised for Xeno, available for single cell passaging and it is described as ‘very cost effective’.
