MEDLINE Scientific reckons its new range of compact bench-top centrifuges includes models to cover almost all operations in life-science laboratories, including biochemistry, chemistry, and haematology.
Each of the models in the MC centrifuge range feature a robust sealed housing, fully programmable microprocessor control, smooth, brushless motors and near silent running, it says.
A lid lock prevents accidental opening during operation, while the inner bowl is a self-contained unit designed for easy wipe-down and disinfection.
The entry level MC-5000 has a max 5000rpm speed and is available with or without load auto-balance. This basic model is aimed at routine functions in the lab including qualitative analysis of blood serum, plasma, and urea.
The more sophisticated MC16000R is the top of the range model, intended for use on cell separation and DNA applications in molecular biological laboratories. This centrifuge has a maximum spin speed of 16,000rpm and includes selectable refrigeration.
A variety of bucket options can be selected, according to tube size and combinations. Fixed and swinging rotor arms are available and can be swapped out as necessary.
