Cap strips from Porvair can seal an individual row of a microplate
A NEW range of cap strips to provide high integrity sealing of deep well plates (2ml, 1ml, and 350ul square well) along with Microlute 96 well solid phase extraction (SPE) and protein precipitation plates has been introduced by Porvair Sciences.
The caps are supplied in strips of eight, enabling the user to securely seal samples on a single row of an 8×12 well microplate.
Each cap has an area of thinner EVA polymer at its centre, facilitating piercing by multichannel pipette or robotic probes to quickly remove sample without generating aerosol or other sources of cross-contamination, and provide secure sample protection from -80C to +80C, says Porvair.
