VIROSTAT has released several new monoclonal antibodies to the NS1 of Dengue virus.

These antibodies recognise the NS1 protein of all four Dengue serotypes and are, says the company, powerful tools for researchers and developers of rapid detection methods.
Dengue Virus is endemic in tropical countries worldwide. It causes an mosquito-borne infection that manifests as Dengue Fever.
The infection can progress to more serious conditions including haemorrhagic fever. There are four serotypes of the virus, all capable of causing disease.
A non-structural glycoprotein (NS1) is produced during acute infection and can be found at high levels in patient serum.
