BROOKFIELD Engineering has updated the software for its Powder Flow Tester powder rheometer, used to determine material characteristics in industrial and laboratory operations.
Powder Flow Pro v1.2 includes two new features, designed to improve the usefulness of the information generated by the instrument.
The Normalised Flow function provides a useful prediction of the phenomenon of stable bridging or arching, which occurs when consolidation stresses increase as more material is added to the hopper.
The Comparison feature allows the display of data from both standard and small shear tests on a single graph, enabling users to assess how powders will respond in larger or smaller bins.
Powder Flow Pro V1.2 is a free download for owners of a Brookfield Powder Flow Tester.
