MADE of borosilicate glass in either clear or amber, the Ram Vial from JG Finneran is designed around the needs of laboratory automation systems. Its 12 x 32mm external dimensions are said to be optimum for robotic arm autosamplers to handle.
These 300ul volume vials are composed of two parts – an internal conical tip insert and an outer casing – permanently fused together and closed with a 9mm threaded cap. Finneran says this arrangement suits automated injection systems, helping preserve dispensing accuracy and eliminating any risk of contamination around the seam.
The name Ram Vial is an acronym of ‘robotic arm machine’, indicating its suitability for use with robotic handlers. Vials include a marking spot, and can be written on in pencil.
