PORVAIR Sciences polypropylene PCR plates, which are compatible with most 96- and 384-well block instruments, are summarised in a handy selection guide available from the company.
Both standard and low profile 96-well plates are available with full, half, or no skirt, and with well volumes of 100-200 microlitres. The company’s 384-well plates have a smaller working volume of just 30 microlitres, making them suitable for high throughput assays where samples are often at a premium. 384-well PCR plates have a full skirt to ensure compatibility with robotic systems.
Porvair PCR plates are certified free of pyrogens, DNAse, and RNAse enzymes, and are designed to maintain a liquid meniscus which stays below the plate surface, to eliminate sample carryover when plates are fitted with lids. Wells are identified with black alphanumeric printing.
