RESEARCHERS performing serial dilutions or working with reagents using multichannel pipettors might like to check out this new ‘trough plate’ from JG Finneran.
These eight- and 12-channel reservoir trough plates hold liquid reagents in precise rows that align with pipette tips, allowing researchers to simultaneously aspirate or dispense fluids in all channels.
The company says this product helps high-throughput laboratories improve productivity, because researchers can improve their speed and precision performing serial dilutions or dispensing different reagents in up to 12 channels.
Reservoir Trough Plates are constructed of high impact plastics for durable, long-term performance.
The reservoir design incorporates a v-shaped bottom with a residual volume of 200ul, reducing dead volume and minimising waste.
For benchtop stability, the trough plates fit snugly on top of Finneran’s 96-well microplates.
The eight-channel plate has a total capacity of 56ml, with a 1ml to 7ml capacity per channel , while the 12?channel plate has a 36ml total capacity with a trough capacity of 1ml to 3ml.
