LGC Genomics has launched a new genomics services laboratory at the Cummings Centre near Boston, USA. The company, which merged with KBioscience in July 2011, has grown from just one to 20 US employees in the last year, so this marks a major step forward.
Work in the new lab will focus initially on genotyping and nucleic acid extraction services using LGC’s proprietary Kasp and Sbeadex technologies in combination with SNPline genotyping instrumentation.
LGC Genomics says it occupies a unique position as both a supplier of genomic services in a high-throughput laboratory setting, and an expert developer of instrumentation and chemistry systems.
