Seven micropipettes from 0.1 to 1000ul make up the Acura Electro 926X range. The 936 range has three macropipettes from 0.1 to 10ml, while the 956 offers eight multichannel pipettes dispensing volumes from 0.5 to 350ul in 8- or 12-channel configurations.

Wheaton says that the interchangeable control unit is a unique feature of the Electro line, with each unit capable of fitting on to any one of 27 different volumetric assemblies.

Another new feature is the inclusion of a ‘tactile’ mode, intended to simplify gel loading and make titration by pipette a possibility. The programmable units also offer conventional forward, reverse, mixing, dilute, and stepper modes. Calibration is fast and easy, says the company, and the display is switachable for right- or left-handed users.

The pipettes come with a two-year warranty and are manufactured to ISO 8655, IVD 98/79 EEC directives and CE safety guidelines.
