Universal Latch Rack from Thermo works with manual and automatic systems
The company says that other racks usually lock into place, which prevents laboratory robot systems from picking and placing them, but that the non-locking design of the new Universal Latch Rack is more friendly to automation systems.
The lid can be locked into place via a latch, giving secure stackable storage for up to 48 internally-threaded tubes (24 externally threaded) per rack. The format is compatible with Thermo’s sample-tracking and storage lines, decappers, and 2D barcode readers, and fits within a standard ANSI microplate footprint.
